Solidarity
Ghana are full of solidarity. That is, most people in Ghana are full of care and love for each other. In the rural areas in Ghana, most farmers practice what we call "nn)moa" which is, the friends and family help one person to work on one's farm and the other reciprocates it.
The external family system in Ghana also helps strengthen solidarity in Ghana. That is apart from the father, mother and siblings, other family relations like Auntie's, grand parents, Uncles and other members of the family all help strengthen solidarity. All the elders in the community can straighten young children when they are going wrong.
Parents who are not financially stable also gets help to take care of their wards by other extended family members or anyone in the community who wishes to do it.
Although these acts are gradually eradicating in our system, it has helped in so many ways to reduce social vices in our community by each member of the community trying to correct our young one's and most of the people checking each other in the community.
This is positive thing about Ghana that I hope should not be neglected as it is fading away because of the transformation of our society, westernization and technological advancement.
