AGRICULTURE IN GHANA

Agriculture is the bedrock of most countries and Ghana is not an exception. Agriculture has being the main, constant and largest form of employment for most people in Ghana. All kinds of farming are practiced in Ghana, growing of crops, rearing of animals has been the activities of most farmers.

The problem is, most farmers in Ghana are peasant farmers, hence they grow only what they will eat with their family with a little for commerce even with that, it's heard at taking care of their foods in the house.

Farmers in Ghana try to grow almost everything Ghana needs. And the good news is, we have a huge number of people who are  practice farmers  in Ghana. Cocoa production which is one thing Ghanian farmers have used to put Ghana on the map for the whole world to know  Ghana.

Until recently that our neighbouring country Côte De'voir took over from Ghana, Ghana was the leading country in cocoa production. And this has given foreign exchange and increased the Gross Domestic Product (GDP)of Ghana.

This in a way has helped reduce the high rate of unemployment in our country. Hence agriculture is one positive thing about Ghana
