Marriage in Africa has become one aspect that a side showing the beauty of culture, also helps foster unity among ethnic groups in Ghana. Marriage has been a tool to curbs ethnocentrism and it's in a way helping reduce ethnic stereotypes. The Ewes, the Northeners, the Ashanti's, the Fanti's, the GAs and the other ethnic groups have an existing stereotypes about marriage which always sprang up when people from two different ethnic groups wants to marry. A clear example is when an Akan especially an Ashanti want to tie knots with an Ewe. During the primitive times, an Ashanti man will never allow his daughter or son marry an Ewe. Glory be to God that by the help of science and education, researchers has proven that certain stereotypes among the Ewes does not exist. The peace that Ghana is enjoying today can be traced to interethnic marriages which has be encouraged in our beloved country.
